Itinerary

Lincoln is a popular destination, and in response to many requests we are pleased to announce a day excursion there in our renowned ‘Green Goddess’ diesel train. This will take you right through to Lincoln in comfort and style.

Stations at which you may join our train are listed below; after leaving London we travel up the East Coast Main Line, then probably via Spalding.

At Lincoln we expect to have around four hours of free time for sightseeing — the historic city has a famous castle and cathedral — or whatever takes your fancy!

We have planned our return journey via Newark Castle, Nottingham and the Midland Main Line, which will provide some different scenery from our outward journey.

Our last two trips have been fully booked, so please try to secure your seat(s) on this excursion as soon as possible: nearer the date we cannot guarantee that there will be any places left!

Fares

Fares for return travel on the entire trip

From all stations Hastings to Bromley South inclusive:
- £49 (standard); £180 (bay of four standard seats); £65 (Club Class).
From Kensington Olympia only, reduced fares apply:
- £45 (standard); £170 (bay of four standard seats); £61 (Club Class).

Club Class

Travel at a seat with a table, with refreshments provided throughout the trip plus a meal with wine on the way home. Seating is likely to be in a DEMU trailer coach; payment of the additional £5 supplement assures travel in Tunbridge Wells power car.

Power Cars

A £5 supplement should be added to individual (not bay) fares for travel in power cars (both Club and Standard classes). Capacity is limited.

Refreshments

Our train includes a Buffet Car; a selection of hot & cold snacks and drinks will be available throughout the day at reasonable prices. There will also be a trolley service.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in any part of our train.

Club Class:

This section is essentially full. There might be a seat remaining in the buffet car, please enquire.

Standard Class:

Motor coach Mountfield is now full, and not many seats remain in the DEMU trailer and the CEP car. Please enquire.
