Itinerary

Our pre-Christmas excursion to Salisbury in 2001 was so popular that we have decided to repeat it. This time it will run via a different route, and will take place at a time of year which should be more conducive to sightseeing.

From Hastings we pick up at Battle and usual stations to Tonbridge, before taking the route via Redhill to Guildford, our last pick-up point. We then start a circular tour: outward via Havant, Fareham, Southampton (or Eastleigh), and Romsey; return via Andover, Basingstoke, Reading and Sandhurst.

We expect to be at Salisbury for the whole afternoon. This ought to allow ample time for sightseeing, viewing the historic cathedral, shopping in the city centre and large open market, or even making a trip to Stonehenge.
